Journey
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Fly to Arusha & Transfer
Morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Meet your safari guide and begin the drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy the dramatic landscape change from tropical coast to highland savannah. Overnight at a lodge on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater with breathtaking views.
Day 2 — Ngorongoro Crater
Descend 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife viewing areas. The crater floor is home to an astonishing concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, hippos, flamingos, and the critically endangered black rhino. Spend a full day exploring this natural wonder before ascending back to the rim.
Day 3–5 — Serengeti National Park
Drive across the stunning Serengeti plains — an endless expanse of grassland, acacia woodland, and kopje rock formations. Depending on the season, witness the Great Migration — millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle moving across the landscape. Daily game drives take you deep into the park to spot big cats, elephant herds, cheetahs, and an incredible diversity of birdlife. Evenings are spent at your safari camp, dining under the stars and listening to the sounds of the African bush.
Day 6–7 — Return to Zanzibar
After a final morning game drive, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar. Arrive back on the island in time for a sunset on the beach — the perfect way to reflect on an extraordinary safari adventure.
