Full Day on the Water
Early morning pickup brings you to the fishing village of Fumba, where your dhow and crew await. Set sail across the calm waters of Menai Bay, watching dolphins play in the wake if you are lucky. The first stop is a shallow coral reef where you can snorkel among parrotfish, angelfish, and sea stars. Back on board, the crew serves fresh fruit as the dhow glides to a disappearing sandbank—a sliver of white sand surrounded by nothing but sea and sky. Spend time swimming, sunbathing, or simply floating in the warm Indian Ocean. After working up an appetite, head to a secluded mangrove island where the crew prepares a lavish beachside barbecue of grilled lobster, octopus, king prawns, and reef fish accompanied by coconut rice, chapati, and tropical fruit. The afternoon is yours to relax on the beach or take a final snorkel before the dhow sails you home as the sun begins its descent.
